Pasta - although I dislike encouraging more wrapping; perhaps greaseproof paper which could then be reused at home?

I have seen spaghetti with a thin paper strip around 100g bundles....not sure of the practicalities of packaging that though, or dispensing.

I see a great deal of irony in plastic-free air travel, which is not to say that I'm not in favour.

Greenhouse gases is a much more complex subject and should be on another thread.

An example: eating free range meat produces far more carbon emissions than long haul flights. Agriculture is the third largest contributor to global emissions by sector, with methane accounting for just under half of total agricultural emissions, nitrous oxide for 36 percent, and carbon dioxide for some 14 percent. Here is an article from the Guardian:
theguardian.com

And here is some science: sciencedirect.com

So to be a little more eco-conscious we need more vegan plastic free flights :)

It really irks me that the Government announce they are doubling the plastic bag charge when more and more stuff seems to be moving to being wrapped in ever thicker and stronger plastic despite this being a big thing for over a year now.

A lot of the climate change data re free range meat has been proved wrong. Unfortunately, it spoils a great story so tends to be brushed under the carpet.

occasionally some info comes out
