Back on page 85...i bought the Fit Pit Man natural deodorant and said I would feedback... This has been a surprise and has worked. Just put a pea-sized amount under each arm and rub it in. Seems to do the trick as I am wearing my shirts 2 days in a row (I can't do that without deodorant). So £8 for three months supply.

Friends of a friend have just opened a zero waste shop in Buxton, if anyone's around that neck of the woods everybodys-talking.org

My hairdresser will sell shampoo if you bring your bottle in to be refilled.

As 2018 draws to a close we look forward to 2019 whereby supermarkets must have plastic free aisles for shoppers and more incentives to BYOR with taxes to be placed on take away containers + an increase to the plastic bag charge.

A plastic free shop has just opened round the corner from me - lots of basics (nuts, pasta, flour, dried fruit, herbs and spices, vinegars, detergent etc). A bit more expensive than the supermarket, but very useful. One problem: they’re not currently selling any long pasta (spaghetti, linguine etc) because they don’t know how to dispense it, as most stuff is self service out of large glass jars with an angled opening, using either gravity or a small shovel. Anyone have a bright idea how to avoid long pasta getting sneezed on or handled? Only thought I’ve had is keep it behind the counter, use tongs and sell some long reusable bags, but the model is to have most stuff self service.

Where do they source their pasta beebop? My local place doesn't do pasta because they can't get it plastic-free so if I could find a supplier it might be really useful.

I don’t know - I’ll ask next time I go in, memory permitting!
