Jeez when I think of my teenage years I can only imagine the damage I could have done with a light sabre and some Jedi mind tricks.

On another note I really enjoyed the tie fighters in the film. The close ups, how they were racked :-), the interior, how to fly them etc. Definitely pleased the nerd in me, always found them far cooler than the rebel's fighters.

Still no idea how the propulsion works though...

Any objections to this thread being repurposed to discuss the whole of the "final" trilogy? Interested to hear what other fetchies who love Star Wars thought of the latest film, with the abilty to post spoilers about things like Rey's parentage etc.

No objections from me. If no-one objects, I could rename this the 'Star Wars' thread.

So, putting aside what the directors explicitly or implicity intended to do - I watched ROS and discovered Rey's parentage, which obviously conflicted with what Kylo Ren said in TLJ.

At the time I just read that as being Kylo Ren having bluffed Rey in TLJ, rather than ROS over-writing something which was "true". Or is that just me?

(No issues with thread title changes from me, obvs!)

Long conversation in the office last week about the logistics and procurement strategies required to be able to build that fleet....

Yes indeed. I hope all the right paperwork was completed, and that no state subsidies were involved with private contractors ;-)

Having said that, I think my workrate would increase if Darth Sidious was my ultimate customer...

Oooh yes please. I've seen it once in English and once in German and would love to discuss. Where *did* the yellowsaber come from? How many times did you cry?

I did hope they'd killed Chewie I have to say, just from a pure shock moment perspective. But obviously also glad he got his hands on a medal :-)

Ha ha - yes I'm sure that after all these years that's what makes it worthwhile for the old fuzzball :o)

To answer Linds, the dad/son moments between Han and Ben do for me.
