Although we overlap on 1996 it’s really hefty, you were DNF and I haven’t started yet ...

Also 1998 I got really bored with whole chunks of it I had Sarah Walters: Tipping the Velvet / Ardal O’Hanlon: The Talk of the Town instead

Do the books have to be fiction for it to count here?

Not as far as I’m aware TBR - everyone has their own rules for their own challenge. My only rule was that I mustn’t have read the book before

Great. After being inspired by Cheg I looked at the Booker list but it doesn't go back to 1965. The American National Book Awards do however. I looked at the categories and decided I need to read more non fiction to 'educate' myself. The life story of Lenin it is than for 1965.

I’ve got the making of the atomic bomb on my pile and I read the great bridge: most are fiction but I’m open to offers
