I'm afraid I can't take credit for a "Daz List" (although I am working on one... he says intriguingly...)
my titles here were almost entirely taken from the "Guardian 1000" list
I have also read several other books from each year, some of which I would even recommend!
eg for the DNF years:
1965 - [Dune; The Three Stigmata Of Palmer Eldritch; The Millstone]
1988 - [The Coming Of The King; Cities Of Salt; Consider Phlebas; The Mezzanine; The Beginning Of Spring; Mother London]
1996 - [Death And The Penguin; Excession; The Debt To Pleasure]
2015 - [The Field Of The Cloth Of Gold]
oh and re non-fiction, I can't recommend highly enough 2010's "The Big Short"

When I started this I decided the rules where you decide what the rules are.
I'm passionate about reading. I love people to read it makes me happy
My rules for me they have to be read in yearly order hence it's been slow for me I've binned several books, not literally
I cannot read the same author and I try to swap genres

I started doing this when the thread was set up but stopped because I had too big a TBR pile and I was bankrupting myself. However, I think I'll rejoin having re-discovered the joys of the library. I'll try not to buy a single thing.

I’ve tried to start with books from tbr pile and not have the same author twice. This allows book club to slip in. But I have also allowed myself a few favourites rather than complete new reads - I’ve kept that to one a decade
