Are we accepting Yorkshire Puddings as part of a Christmas dinner?

Never had them myself and to be honest, would have neither the plate or oven room.

Good gravy coverage though

I love Yorkshire puddings but have recently come to the conclusion they don't belong on a Christmas dinner. Mind, I don't really like like stuffing and hate bread sauce

What does make for a Christmas dinner, my mum would always serve roasties and mash for example

I served roasties and mash this year, but only because I peeled too many spuds

I love chips with fried food but probably wouldn't have it before say 10 or 10.30am

Bacon or sausage, eggs, chips and beans is a wonderful meal, preferably served with a big mug of tea and white bread and butter

The 12 Days of Vixxmas
I had the Yorkies because I was at the Carvery and their Christmas dinner was 2 courses, and I only wanted the one....
I also like it because I don't have to cook all the veggies that I like that they do. Would perhaps not go at 4pm in future as that's right in the middle of 'end of lunch' and 'start of evening meals' so slightly less veggie choice.
The chap asked if I wanted pigs in blankets. I said Yes please (this was before going to Carvery) and when I came back he'd given me a double portion and I only got charged for 1.

The mash at the Carvery was too whipped for me so had roast and some Dauphinoise.

Solid choices Vixx. We have carvery a couple of times a year because we're lazy cooks

The 12 Days of Vixxmas
I do prefer lots of veggies, and if I don't mind eating the same stuff 2 or 3 times in a week, then I will bulk cook a load of veggies and then reheat with different proteins to accompany them, but, like you say DT - I also am a lazy cook and carvery then is a cheaper option for a one off meal. Buying all those things for me would mean the above - repeat eating for a few days to allow for less/no waste.
