But Vlasov, Pinot, Barguil, Quintana all pretenders it seems. And let's not mention the "I'm not here for the GC" award sneaking up - Bardet.
Pinot is here stage hunting, Gaudu is their leader.
Vlasov and Barguil (is he going for GC?) haven't done it as GC leaders yet. Quintana's time has passed I think.

Really Vinge should have won that. Went fraction to early. Lets not forget Gaudu. And Pidcock did well to hang on.

There's still a chance of Jumbo playing the combo at some point but Roglic doesn't need chasing immediately which makes it hard.
I can't see Thomas and Yates being strong enough as a duo but if one was strong enough they could work with Vingegaard especially (Thomas's TT strength might worry Jumbo though).

Yeah, in fairness the top 10 (give or take) were good. Top 3 had the initial power, Roglic ran out quickest but had the strength to keep going. All can convince themselves that they'll be good in the high mountains

What would be good if they could launch a "Playstation" attack, a la Andy Schleck, where they plotted it the day before, Frank went on the first mountain, and then Andy on the second or so, no-one could believe that Andy would do it, and he totally nailed it. Still remember that stage, it's on of them written about in Richard Moore's (RIP) great book L'etape.

Don't see that working, you need Pogacar isolated rather than being able to use his team. Jumbo train is the best way really (they didn't do much today) and they have Kuss who was there till it kicked off today to really burn it up.

Lol.
Still struggle to see Pogacar being beaten on GC with the lead he already has but Vingegaard (who needs a lead before the last TT) looks like he should be able to apply pressure and maybe that could cause the crack we've never seen before.

Climbing up the velogames leaderboard. Was yelling for Kamna all the way up that finish. Gutted for him!
