Yep, agree totally SPR. You have to have an absence of bad luck to stand a chance but you can do some stuff to stack the deck in your favour. Was it Sagan who used to talk about "unluck"?

The chasing group are eating that gap to the leaders.


No surprise with the top two riders doing the chasing and only the strong would have been able to stay with.

No doubt but it was the only option. He used the Arenberg where everyone would have been working hard as well (WVA, MVDP et al easiest job though).
