1 If you vote against manifesto commitments you are effectively torpedoing the platform you were elected upon. Good point. 2 If an MP defies the whip it "could" be career suicide and do you really want to die on a hill called "Pencil Sharpeners Bill 2021 (amendments)"? Both good points. |

"Pencil Sharpeners Bill 2021 (amendments)"? Ah, now, that was the one which overturned the EU regulation mandating the size of the hole on pencil sharpeners and allows UK manufactured pencil sharpener holes to revert to imperial size. |

Loved the quote in the Sunday Times that allies of Liz Truss are hoping that Priti Patel also bids for the leadership, 'so she is not the lunatic'.

Rats in a sack. They will all be putting in their leadership bids as soon as he is gone. A crew of conniving crooks.

It does raise the question of how it took him so long to realise. Pushing a falling man. Whenever I see something like this I’m immediately transported to Ceasescu (sp?) and his wife standing on the balcony waving to the adoring throng (!!). They still hadn’t realised that they weren’t going to be there forever but were never seen alive again iirc |
