Resolution was too low - I've got a better quality one, but there's no option to replace it?! Also I don't think it cropped it quite right - is it better to resize it before hand? (And yes it is very foresty!)

I've cleared out the pic, so you should be able to upload another one (you might have to do a CTRL+F5 to make your browser show the newer version when you upload it). Delete button coming soon.

OK, this didn't work very well for me. a) My photo was a perfectly normal (I thought) 640 x 426 pixels - but your photo-shaped hole on the page is *much* more panoramic than that, so I was going to lose loads of good stuff. b) pressing on anyway - I couldn't zoom in sufficiently far to get rid of the red border, as you want us to. c) and then when I finally had done the bets position/crop that I could, and pressed submit (or whatever) then it re-positioned it entirely. And now I look a right doofus because my photo of my route is just blue sky. http://www.fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=402732 |

There's a delete button now, so you can try again 640x426 is fairly close to the 'golden' ratio (1.6) which is a fairly important one But panoramic shots do tend to be that bit wider. For example, Facebook cover photo = 851/315 = 2.7, and Twitter = 520/260 = 2. I'd recommend starting with a larger pic, as it makes it easier to zoom in. To be honest, I didn't try it out with one that was smaller than the hole - my guess is that the maths is wrong in that case. I'll have a play. |

Yes, you need to find a way to deal with photos smaller than the hole - same issue when I try again.

Changed my photo to a higher res one, I did get the same positioning thing that Paul the builder got, but pressed F5 and it sorted it out (It was still displaying the old too small version I think, which had positioned itself in the wrong place!). There is now more foresty loveliness!
