Thanks CS.
I am stupidly nervous about going to the Dr's to sort this out on Friday after that silly receptionist's reaction last week. How much did your old one cost?

hopefully you'll be fine! I didn't get charged anything for my last one, but I've a feeling I should have been charged an admin fee of about £20, think the doctor was a bit thrown by the request and forgot!

I got this sorted on Friday - the Dr was very nice and wished me luck. She said I was very brave. I didn't mention that I was doing the D33 ultra the next day, or that Paris in itself is a training run for the Highland Fling...

Another 20 yesterday, in a world of pain after my first BMF in weeks on Saturday. It wasn't fast, it wasn't pretty and I ache all over today.
Not sure I'll squeeze in another 20 this weekend due to real life getting in the way. Which possibly means I am now officially tapering!

Hi all.
First Paris for me. Training has been wobbly to say the least, but still looking forward to it.
I notice Powerade are one of the sponsors, but no word on whether it's available on course. The website just says fruit, sponges (sadly no fruit sponges), and water.
Can anyone enlighten me please?
Thanks.

Last year I seem to remember that Powerade was available but not at every water station. Watch out for orange peel btw- slippier than a slippy thing. There was also a Marathon de Medoc stand at about mile 22 with wine and cake
