Good idea for a thread.
I tend to just take breadrolls (with hummus and some raw veg when I'm feeling flush) as I'm always worried my food might leak in my bag. My two good plastic containers have been turned into housing spare batteries etc by my flatmates and I don't really trust any of the other containers. My friend just bought that food flask McGoohan has linked to, too - looks like a good option if there's no microwave available. Starting a new job next week, so will need to see what their kitchen is like first, but will be lurking on this thread with interest.
(As for snacks, I always end up buying expensive chocolate bars from the shops since in the mornings, I decide not to pack any in order to have a 'healthy' day. Then, at some point in the afternoon, I just *need* chocolate, and end up spending about twice as much as I would have had I just brought my Lidl ones in. Problem is that when i take them from home, I end up eating them with my first cup of tea in the morning...)

One slight negative about the flask is that it's got a metal spoon and it is itself metal so when you're scraping into the corners it makes a bit of a racket. (Which is why I have a pack of 100 plastic spoons in my desk at work - bought from the £ shop)

I took to bringing lunch in to work this year after always buying it on the way in. I will roast a load of different veggies and have some of them each day with some sort of carb - I cook extra portions of rice, if I am having that, otherwise something quick like cous cous, pasta or Ryvita - plus I will make some houmous or falafel or something similar and they will do for three days. I might get one of those flasks to have soup or stew some days.

I often take special chaat mix:
Mix chopped boiled spuds with chick peas and a little chopped shallot. Add a pinch of chilli powder, fresh chopped coriander and drizzle the juice extracted from tamarind + whipped plain yoghurt over the top and finish with puris and/or some of those tiny dried Indian noodly things.

Great thread idea. Mr tesco doesn't come til tomorrow so it's short rations here.
Ham and mustard Mayo with cucumber and carrot sticks on the side for a bit of chewing action. Butties never really register as a meal in my silly brain. And I get bored of em.
Satsuma/apple or summat as well, probably.
