Lucky to have avoided negative equity - I bought my first place relatively late in life by comparison (and after leaving Oxon to move jobs in the mid 1990s). Never had any luck on fix v float my mortgage interest though.

Took the opportunity to move from an endowment to repayment mortgage when we moved house in 1999. We would have been left with a wracking shortfall!! Cashed the endowments while they were still making a bit. Kicked ourselves fir not going for miss selling compensation 🤦🏻♂️

This should probably go on the over 65’s thread but I don’t think there is one so this thread will do! I received an invitation for an AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) screening this morning.

That's a new one on me, ER. I can work it out, but didn't know there was a screening programme. Sounds like a good thing overall.
In other exciting news, I an now eagerly looking forward to the 18th when I shall be eligible to go get my Covid booster shot. Funny, as a child and teen I spent a lot of time dreading injections of any kind!
