Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

The rain seems to be keeping the crowds away from Tatton today. Normally Knutsford is a no-go zone today.

I'm marshalling at Nothwhich Parkrun tomorrow if anyone is around say hi

Enjoy homer.

(Its okay swittle I know we have to make believe that it rains on the mersey, otherwise everyone would be down - it was that hot in new Brighton the other day showtime had to scramble additional back up ice cream vans)

True, Jono. The school parties have dwindled away and a group of maybe 30 or so young people in school uniform were gathered around one corner of the Marina. 6 or 7 were actually paddling: it's not deep there.

Around 8pm tonight, I saw the passenger ship 'Magellan' heading out of Liverpool en route for Dublin. The huge three-pointed fabrication on top of the funnel looks for all the world like a huge eagle! I'm assuming it's a kind of exhaust smkoe diffuser.

it is swittle, saw it coming in - those funnels are very popular with American cruise ships. Mind you they're not really funnels any more, just big exhaust pipes.

I looked at the forecast and withdrew from the race :(. I don’t do well in heat and that’s got a lot worse in the last few years. I might come to support and see you anyway.

Might be doing the same Jenny, I overheat.

Also, last time I raced a hot 5k I tore my calf and had 6 months off.
