HowFar?
I added a little extra on to my normal route today when I was seeking. I did a route I wouldn’t normally do when I was trying to find a good place to hide.

That didn’t really work out too well. I could have hidden on a route I go on every week and I’d still be hiding.

Fizz :-)
I made a fairly minor detour, but it was also extra WSW squares as well as seeking.

Will see what’s left tomorrow . . .

Both times I've been out I was still hiding so the question of changing to seek didn't arise. If there's anywhere accessible and unsearched in the morning then I'll take that into account when making my plan for the the day

Also, my intended route (after I’d moved the grid a bit!) covered quite a few empty squares anyway.

I planned my route to take in as many unexplored squares that I could for a run between 4 and 5 miles, only found one Fetchie though.

Added little detours to many runs, such as not taking the shortest routes across fields and going up the odd cul-de-sac. I was interested to see how many i could do in the month, got to about 85% of the possible ones.

I think at night there is sometimes an aroma in my square, and that's why I think there might be someone else, or it might be just me. I'll be sleeping with the windows open.

Sam and I designed our dog walk around a combination of this and WSW, my attempt at a run after the walk was also heavily influenced by both.
The fact I tried a run at all, even, was largely because I needed more points for the multilayer, and there was a relatively obvious route that would work for both games.

I’m off out seeking for the first time now...i should go over some currently unsearched squares, but my route has been determined by current WSW game rather than this one. It would be interesting (or would have been pre-covid 19) to see how the game would've played out starting on a monday of a ‘normal’ week...

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Here's the barebones of the new game:

fetcheveryone.com/hideandseek.php

How it works
The game generates a big three mile square with you at the centre. The square is cut into a grid of 1600 smaller squares.

During any given, unlock as many squares from your grid as possible (C19 permitting) by visiting them during your training. These are the places where you can 'hide'. Before the month is up, you must choose one of these squares as your hiding place.

When the first game kicks off (1st of the month), a lone seeker must start finding people, by visiting the squares. When someone is found, they become a seeker too. The seekers can then collaborate to flush out the hiders, and a growing army of seekers hunt down the final hiders.

The last person to be found will become the seeker for the following month.

IMPORTANT
I am still building the game. Keep following this thread for updates as I make them.
