OOOh, yes! It's working.

I'm happy that despite having no working GPS watch, I'm still in the game. The Precious will arrive flown in by a princess on the back of an Amazon Prime dragon on Wednesday.

Let's see how long the game takes. Perhaps the new one could kick off as soon as this one is done; or maybe fortnightly or weekly.

That's me done with outdoor activity until Sunday I think, but I leave the seeking in capable hands. Coordinate your efforts :-)

When I set my point, it was in a square you'd never gone over by quite late in April, so if that was deliberate, nice strategy :)

I did do some stuff deliberately during April. I ran the same routes lots, to minimise my footprint; I stayed south of the main east-west road running through Bedford; and just at the last minute, I moved my grid a bit, to make sure that the corners were accessible, and that anyone who'd been looking for unvisited squares might get caught out.

I was wondering how well this game would work as a spectator sport, but the Game Feed and the Seek page give some insight ;-) (even though the Seek page is set at lat. 0, long. 0 for a non-player).

Nice start Fetch - good to see it's working.

When you've had your shower and get chance - we could do with a link from the Games tab rather than just this page. I'm sure it's already on your to do list so no need for a feature request or feedback :)

I'm not going to take a photo of my hiding place. It's been commandeered by a herd of frisky Belties who don't know that they're supposed to back off when you turn round to face them.

Here's the barebones of the new game:

How it works
The game generates a big three mile square with you at the centre. The square is cut into a grid of 1600 smaller squares.

During any given, unlock as many squares from your grid as possible (C19 permitting) by visiting them during your training. These are the places where you can 'hide'. Before the month is up, you must choose one of these squares as your hiding place.

When the first game kicks off (1st of the month), a lone seeker must start finding people, by visiting the squares. When someone is found, they become a seeker too. The seekers can then collaborate to flush out the hiders, and a growing army of seekers hunt down the final hiders.

The last person to be found will become the seeker for the following month.

IMPORTANT
I am still building the game. Keep following this thread for updates as I make them.
