tsks at DS's split infinitive. If you're going to complain, it's important to be grammatically correct.

Having said that - it is genuinely a pastime of mine to purposely split infinitives - the one in the previous post was a typo. The end of the post should have read: "...the mental health of the many participants who correctly view them as vitally important".

I just can't believe how chuffed I am at being the second last hider! My family even got involved in watching the final countdown! *that may be because I was sending them messenger updates* :)

Ouch! Is that another split infinitive I see before me? Its egregiousness before my eyes?

I was once a Latin scholar (looooong time ago) so they grate with me though perhaps not as much as the wrongful use of "whom".

If you split an infinitive, surely you'll just end up with two infinitives? Maths brain here, not language - and language was so appallingly taught at my high school that I still have to think about nouns, adjectives, verbs.

What did I get for English Language GCSE? A*. Says a lot...

[covers eyes]

At whom is the accusation levelled?

Now THAT is a beautiful Latin sentence construction.

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Here's the barebones of the new game:

fetcheveryone.com/hideandseek.php

How it works
The game generates a big three mile square with you at the centre. The square is cut into a grid of 1600 smaller squares.

During any given, unlock as many squares from your grid as possible (C19 permitting) by visiting them during your training. These are the places where you can 'hide'. Before the month is up, you must choose one of these squares as your hiding place.

When the first game kicks off (1st of the month), a lone seeker must start finding people, by visiting the squares. When someone is found, they become a seeker too. The seekers can then collaborate to flush out the hiders, and a growing army of seekers hunt down the final hiders.

The last person to be found will become the seeker for the following month.

IMPORTANT
I am still building the game. Keep following this thread for updates as I make them.
