Looking at doing the Clumber Park later in the year. Didn't understand the location instructions, but maybe clearer when you get there?

Yes just ask as you go into the park. When i asked they said entry was free if coming for run.

riggys99 thank you. I've heard of these but never got around to researching and doing one.

Thanks riggys99 , I wasn’t aware of these. Coincidentally, I had a long walk round Stourhead about a week ago and was thinking it’d be a great place for a run. Might try Polesden Lacey or Studland Bay next month, as the Stourhead ones don’t start till March.

I have put a link on the thread to the NT website page giving a list of all the places holding these events.

Well worth a go especially if you have a bit of time at the site afterwards.

Hi all. There were three different threads for NT 10k events, so I've culled the other two, and moved all watchers to this thread.

No.12
My nearest seems to be the Avebury one. I found this out by accident when walking in the area one sunday. It has a very very tough hill, the sort that most people struggle to walk up without rest and the Marshall told me that nearly every runner has to slow to a walk. that bit is opposite silbury hill. It does look fun and picturesque though

JustCommando!
I have done Polesden Lacey - about a year ago in the brrrrr cold. It is quite up and down with some lovely bits and a less lovely bit up a steep hill in the woods. I don't remember many marshals, and one of my Tri club got a bit lost!
I also did Avebury in October. It was VERY muddy in places - one bit along the stream was skating mud for a good half mile. And yep hills, but also gorgeous views.

Both runs done with small dog. I am quite slow but no-one minded. Would recommend having the route on a device of some sort just in case.
