I've just got going really. 982 words knocked out so far and it's flowing nicely. I know what I'm doing for this part but I have a few very different paths it could take and I don't know which one will work best.

1670 done I'm really enjoying it. No idea where it's going to go (apart from the bin eventually!)

You've met the day's target then I'm going to try and get ahead today as I know there will be days when life stops me writing. I've finished the first chapter and written 2639 words.

Going to start this evening. Doing AcWriMo too (the academic version of Nano) but using hours targets for that because a lot of it is stats and referencing. My Nano idea is a bit of an experiment: I can do short stories with a bit of humour in, but my novels are a bit serious and have a tendency towards dullness. So I'm trying a novel with a bit of humour, perhaps some satire (plenty of ideas from the news).

I know what you mean. Mine tend to get a bit serious and dull too.
Definitely trying for a bit of humour this time.
