So far he has discovered that my Grandma made quite a lot of stuff up, and immediately prior to marrying my Grandad (who, by all accounts she never liked much) might have been briefly married to an American serviceman, might have had a baby with him, and did change her surname by deed poll to his Welcome home, LF. Would you like a biscuit with your tea?
