Hope they're just being cautious. Maybe making sure there's going to be the post op care she needs is available, @EvilPixie . Will be keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Caught up with the housework for now. Mr Ness has come back from Asda and is putting a chicken in the oven so we can have chicken salad later. I'm going to read some Fetch blogs and do some knitting.

Pharmacy man has spoken to mum about drugs when you get discharged

Blood thinner just been given which we weren't expecting today 😕

Nothing been said about home environment

Can you work on a list of questions to raise next time you speak to someone pix?

I filled in an e-consult with GP this morning due to a bark on face that’s starting to be more prominent phone call 1hr later and appointment are for the 11th… more efficient than ringing multiple times a week!

Mum had to have blood thinners when she was discharged after breaking her hip, Pix. The district nurse did them because they were injections.

Good luck for your Mum tomorrow Pix, hope it goes ahead as they said. They should talk about her home before she's discharged, hopefully you'll have an OT come out to have a check around for any aids she may need.

Thought I'd do my packing after dinner but got waylaid so I'll just get up a bit earlier and do it in the morning.

We were hoping no thinner today as close to op, so having had it makes me wonder

Obviously it's bed dependent but 🤞
