Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Back from town, where I did eventually go after a lovely yoga nidra and a rest.
I bumped into a friend going to have a decaf coffee and cinnamon bun at the independent caffe and he went back in with me for another coffee. Just before I left, I had a reply from the Dutch tax man. It is 🤬
His Spanish wife is currently in Spain to sort out the post Brexshit red tape surrounding her mum's estate. Argh! We were able to compare notes.
I am going to try and see if I can keep the money where it is, until I sell up and move to Italy or put my sister as the benificiary and get an annuity... If possible. No way am I paying 72% tax !!!!!

Bought some food. Eyewateringly expensive but one has to live.
Came home, wanted to heat up a soup that was in the fridge. Sell by dat 1/02/24. The pot was bulging and about to explode!!! Meh, as they are expensive soups. I wonder if I should take a photo so show Waitrose when I am next there.
It smell sour, and considering my susceptibility to bugs, I am not risking it!
Thankfully, I bought a fresh soup today.

Bugger. We almost got off scot free. Prof rang this afternoon. Cuthbert's blood results not quite acceptable. Needs to adjust meds dose in a tapered way and go back for bloods early doors on Friday. Shouldn't affect other plans if he remains fine on adjusted dose.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
