I daren't count on a xmas break after last year's fiasco! A booked trip to Namibia was cancelled. Then I had to cancel xmas with my sister, then I had to cancel.xmas with a friend in Scotland, then I had to cancel.xmas dinner with friends down the road...

we ordered turkey for 4 but son couldn't come and mum rained off after I ordered it

and we never got to see family obvs either

Which is why I am off to my sister 15 September! Would have gone next week, but she couldn't re-arrange work at such short notice...
Last year, I had a 3 week window, it transpired on hindsight, to see my sister and only just made it before borders closed again... Not risking anything this time either!!!

Took a break from work by putting the rubbish and recyling out to the outside bins.
