Sitting in the garden after fence painting. We have wine and are deciding who will we give our pennies to tonight - Chinese or Indian. We are out for Sunday roast tomorrow

We’re have had chicken tikka masala with naan bread also samosas for a starter. Mr Ness didn’t feel like cooking so cheated and bought ready made stuff that just needed reheating. Now have tiramisu for afters.

My blistered toe as know become infected. Antiseptic cream on but is it better to leave it uncovered or put a plaster on?

LG soak it in a footbath of sea salt, as hot as you can stand it. Anti-sceptic and it draws out any puss etc

Quick snack of crackers, back out in the garden.
As usual, one simple job: planting lettuces, has resulted in me emptyimg a water butt while watering them. This butt sat on a pallet that rotted away and was dangerously teetering when full.
The thing has now been dismantled. The pallet is on the bonfire. A stone slab has been retrieved from my random collection of "might come out handy" stuff. I now need to level that area.
I happen to have spare scalpings from my building work.
It needs wheelbarrowing.
The wheelbartow needs retrieving from the other end of the garden and its contents dumped at the other far end of the garden.
I needed a break!
Then shovel stone, put membrane down, dump.stone, put slab on, level with sand from my "just in case" dump.
Base of butt put back together. It is deformed so probably needs re-shaping by soaking in a hot bath...
Then it can go on its new base.
Then the butt can go on, the downpipe re-installed and sealed and the butt re-connected with the one next to it.
Sigh! I need a lie down!
