Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Morning, at my desk with coffee. Took my car to the garage last night, MOT today. It's going to fail, needs a headlight bulb which I found out was bust on sunday night. Local car spares place shut early yesterday so went to Halfords, they wanted £55 so I walked straight back out, I'll take my chances that the garage will be cheaper, could get them on the internet for £20.

Just seen the jet suit story on BBC Breakfast. It’s fun living in the future, isn’t it?

I have my MOT Friday. I'm crossing everything that the engine management light that comes on when it's warm will stay silent.

[Linds, that probably wouldn't constitute an MoT failure anyway]

I have a craving for some picalilli.

[I was told by the man at the garage that it was an automatic failure last time it was in for service :( He is a bit of an arsehole, though and hates me since I refused to pay for a hose that they broke whilst mending something else.]

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
