LindsD: warming the soy milk and pouring it into the cup first before slowly adding the coffee looks like a way forward. I assume the coffee, if instant, would need to be made in a separate cup.

I read up on how to make oat milk. I have lots of oats. But I don't need to make it, as I have lots of milk milk.
(Oat milk better for coffee than soy, maybe?)

You have, DT. Use lots of moisturiser and choose bar soap instead of squirty soap or hand sanitiser. If the skin's in a real mess, get some hydrocortisone from the pharmacy counter.

It’s a small shop and yes I did wonder what someone with a younger child was supposed to do: leave the security guard to babysit?! He’s 18 in 2 weeks anyway so we could have rounded up I suppose but I was just surprised. Really could have done with the checkout taking more shopping though, it was all very stressful.

I can see why you’d want to discourage extra people coming in but thought it would not be possible to ban kids, seems like the security guard hadn’t got that memo yet.
AR: most basics are in most shops, you just can’t buy more than 3 of anything or 2 of pasta, loo roll and maybe other things. I bought a 9-pack of loo roll so that was fine. There was plenty of everything other than those and flour.
