Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Garage door abandoned. I had the bright idea to order the cones and cable pack because it cost the same as the cable on its own. My reasoning was that I could try to replace just the cables and if that didn’t work I could attempt to replace cones as well. The stupid bloody cables are fixed to the cones (the existing ones are separate) which means I have no choice but to replace the whole shebang. The instructions are very confusing and it’s far more complicated than expected. Not helped by the fact the door will not close and so it’s really difficult to get in about the mechanism.

At the kitchen table doing some work but being distracted by Fetch and the cat (which I think is fair enough given it's non-work day)

Can’t find the door keys I left on the shoe rack by the front door yesterday. Hmm. Not helping me get out for a run.

Chilly and grey outdoors. Writing is a bit slow because of the patio man drilling and angle grinding, but I’m happy to have progress. Not so thrilled about his radio station which is pop music (fine) interspersed with exhortations to STAY HOME on a loop

I thought Fetch suggestion of an “avoideveryone” strip was very funny

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
