Personally I think smart meters are a load of crap but having had to demolish a wall in my lounge room to get a new electric meter in Surrey I figure probably best sorted sooner than later. My nice electrician said I don’t have to agree and my unconventional wiring should be ok for them but he will sort otherwise. I love this electrician.

I'm paranoid when I'm out and about and see puddles at the side of the road. I was running this evening down Riverside Avenue which is a dead-end lane. There was a patch with large puddles either side which had nearly joined. I headed for the bit in the middle as a white van came round the bend. I decided that I would keep going as I didn't want a soaking so he stopped and waited for me. He wound down the window as I thanked him and said that this was probably why the lane was called Riverside Avenue.
