We all felt terrible for a bit but now I suspect we are all deeply relieved. The only risk is that c9 invited someone so truly random (I’m not sure which of my contacts she has access to) that we neglect to stand them down and we find ourselves having to host the bmw garage staff

"I don't organise parties for other people, ever, especially surprise ones," was probably not the correct answer, but it was better than, "I'd settle for one or other of you dropping dead before then if that was the only way to get out of it."
