I have ruthlessly squashed c9 attempts to throw me a surprise party. We all felt terrible for a bit but now I suspect we are all deeply relieved. The only risk is that c9 invited someone so truly random (I’m not sure which of my contacts she has access to) that we neglect to stand them down and we find ourselves having to host the bmw garage staff

What a lovely thought, Dipps
I've been told by my mother than I'm expected to organise a surprise party for her and my dad for their 60th wedding anniversary in just over a year's time. "I don't organise parties for other people, ever, especially surprise ones," was probably not the correct answer, but it was better than, "I'd settle for one or other of you dropping dead before then if that was the only way to get out of it."

my worst nightmare would be a surprise party, followed closely by a party
