Morning. Need to put a wash on so the kids have kit for tomorrow. First step hunt down Cuthbert's missing hockey sock (they're a thing, not a normal sock and part of compulsory kit so he needs it). It's black and it often gets itself stuck to the velcro on other black bits of kit.

purps
Glad it's OK dipps, it was only a fingernail sized piece of mash but boy did it hurt, no blistering but a bit of sensitivity there. I did the same as you one year, I'd invited a friend around for tea, cooked spaghetti Bolognese, strained the pasta and bam, sat eating tea with my foot in a bowl of water. Want to hear the twists, I was an EMT, she was a paramedic, oh and I was doing it one handed because I'd dislocated my shoulder (in an ambulance) less than a week before the meal. So why I tipped the pasta and didn't ask for help I don't know, also it was actually spaghetti, try eating that one handed. How we laughed!

Living with a dodgy shoulder, I do all sorts of potentially dangerous things and it doesn't occur to me to ask for help, I automatically refuse if it's offered, which is silly. And if I ask Mr W, he looks shocked and says oh I forgot about your arm 🙄

I think you have to have a can do mindset with chronic / permanent injuries which doesn’t make your gumption less admirable. Was the holiday club better for T8 yesterday?

Nice peaceful cup of tea before the boys appeared. Breakfast complete. Now to make a picnic and pack kit for canoeing/kayaking.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
