I have finally managed to apply for my massive (irony alert) teaching pension. I have no idea if the calculations they've made are correct but given the pittance involved it's not worth scratching my head over. (I was nearly always part-time, but over the years it varied between 0.4, 0.5. and 0.6 FTE, with occasional terms (shudder) of full-time.)

I am drawing my Arcadia pension. It wasn't very much but got a nice lump sum and a small monthly pension but being only 55 I might as well take it. I still have my NHS pension and the pension I got in my divorce settlement so I'm sure the one I have now won't be missed.

Just another 30 years to go until I get me pension. If they don’t change the goalposts again......
Think I need tea. Or something stronger to watch football.

I suppose I will have to do the washing up, as my dishwasher is still having fun in Hong Kong (or suffering with jetlag). We're going to fetch him from the airport tomorrow night.

Was he at the HKSevens? It might be a while for the dishwasher to be fully operative

He would have loved that but he hasn't mentioned it.
