Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fig, going to have another one. I have a list to discuss with the decorator, plus lots of gardening and PhD stuff but I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep for a thousand years.

I misread that as packing for a trip to Matalan and wondered what I was missing!

Afternoon. Gorgeous day here, and an excellent brunchybreakfast: smashed avocado, poached egg, smoked salmon, grilled halloumi and mushrooms. And toast of course. It *is* 'feed a cold, starve a fever', isn't it? I'd hate to have got it the wrong way round.

I always find you can’t tell with clementine-y things until you’ve unpeeled them.

Now having a cup of tea outside. It’s so hot! Think I might be sunburnt.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
