H{, that is terrible and all you need to crown the terribleness of it is to be told that you can only book time to pre-defined project codes.
My favourite anecdote is about an accountant who, urging us to make sure our timesheets added up to 38.5 hours per week, said it was fine by him if our timesheets were nonsense, but he really did need them to be complete nonsense.

Ds1 diversified into Kitchen Frisbee while he was waiting for his Pizza Express pizza to cook.
Whilst I disapprove of the polystyrene circle they use in the box, the circle makes a fantastic (very unpredictable) frisbee

Chris at one point they wanted us to code our diaries in relation to the 5 core functions (consultation, assessment, intervention, training, research) and 3 levels (individual, school, authority) of working of an educational psychologist. Ludicrous. I can't wait to log 'packing resources in boxes' and 'cross referencing files with the totally crap database before packing them in boxes' which will be required for our upcoming office move. Sigh!
ION I went paddling tonight which was lovely until it started pissing it down. Some kind souls took our hired kit back to Inverness for me
