I've opened my package. It's a pair of Snowtrax spikes for wearing on my boots when walking around in the snow. I've read the instructions and realised that the pair I've been wearing for a few years have been worn the wrong way round. Apparently, the spikes go on the heels, not under the sole.

Sunny here too. Yesterday was so horrible, there seemed to be a serious possibility I might drown either retrieving the horse from his field, driving home or walking the dog. But I didn’t.

Sitting in the warm sunshine in my seaside backyard. The birds are singing fit to burst..Life is good.
Dill the sprayiest bit of the M5, we find, is in the Weston-Brean area. Which by annoying coincidence, is often the stretch where the rain is heaviest.
