Most of the water doesn't come out when you toast frozen bread or bagels or whatever, and the little that does vanishes off as weak vapour. Basically, no more water than would com out when you toasted the bread from fresh. It'd be different if you tried toasting an ice lolly. I'd advise against that :)

Spoilsport...

I wondered if it was something like that, but I expected more water to come out of the frozen stuff, somehow.

Depends how long it's been frozen, and how well sealed it is; if there's a thick crust of ice crystals on it, then I'd knock that off before starting, as that would drip off. Even then, though, straight under the slots is just the crumb tray, so you'd probably just get a puddle in that. I doubt it'd get on the hot wires.

If you do decide to toast an ice-lolly, it'd be interesting to see a video on youtube, but the insurers might hold it against you if you burn your house down of course.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
