I've had flu once, and only then did I appreciate the very great difference between that and a cold. That said, when I'm old enough to be offered a flu jab, I don't think I'll accept, for the same reasons as Mrs Jigs.

In my personal email inbox, I have filed all the emails I want to keep and deleted the rest, leaving less than a page of current messages.

I’m kind of assuming that healthcare workers are more likely to have contact with people with flu, and therefore will be more likely to get it and also to pass it along, so I can see why there’s a strong argument for healthy people to get the flu jab. I’m also assuming that if you’re in the older age bracket then even if you’re healthy, you might spend more time with older people (because we tend to hang out with people of similar ages) or have elderly parents, some of whom could be badly hit by flu. So there are arguments for certain healthy groups to have the jab even if they don’t think they need it, surely?
Mackerel salad for late lunch, yummy.

My new dress is extremely unflattering, I think I’ll either have to wear it with a long cardi or give it to charity. Annoying.
Laundry is out but the clouds are a bit black!

I dunno (probably I should know, but my brain-space is limited), but very occasionally perfectly healthy people die from flu. The risk of it is vanishingly small, but it only needs to happen to you once. Also, I don't think there's any convincing evidence that the vaccine has *serious* harmful effects, and you WILL NOT get flu from it, whatever Janet on the checkout in Sainsbury's swears happened to her that time, so at worst it's going to be ineffective. I do plenty of stuff that's supposed to be good for me but is probably ineffective.
Having said that, I haven't been down to have mine yet, because I CBA.

I didn’t try it on. Bad mistake, I don’t have the receipt either. Never trust what something looks like on a hanger!
