My lunch post today is on the Not Entirely Mundane Thread. Just in case you were wondering.

I've been to b&q. I went nuts and bought two lamp shades and some reduced price curtains.

Having a cup of tea. I've just put on hand cream though, so I'm having to use two hands to pick it up cos they're slippery.
Is your car fixed, Dio?

Maz when you're very old you will only go to B&Q on a Wednesday, to take advantage of the 10% wrinkly discount.

I haven't had the email about renewing my subscription to the brown bin collection yet this year, but I know that as long as I renew before the due date I will be given a discount and 'only' have to pay £39 instead of £42.

No, this is the other one. Fortunately it's an estate so there's enough room for us to go on holiday in it, though not as much as in the people carrier.

I was once in a car wash, but not inside a car.
I'd paid for one of those washes that include cleaning the wheels with wheel-shaped brushes, and I think it couldn't find the wheels because I hadn't come quite far enough forward. So it kept spraying water all over the place, with the brush in front of the windscreen stopping me going forward, and cars behind in the queue so I couldn't reverse out either.
Eventually, I decided it wasn't ever going to stop and got out of the car and went and got help from the garage staff. Who looked a bit confused by me walking into their building, soaking wet, on a warm, sunny, dry July day.
