Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I now have a very large cucumber plant...no flowers in sight yet though. And something I bought that I thought was mint is actually lemon balm...not a problem as I like it, but not quite what I wanted this morning!

The greenhouse cucumber seems to have given up - but the outdoor one looks OK

Need to look through the seed stash to see what I've got to fill the gap where the cauliflowers were.

Kale. :-)

Fast maturing crops like salad leaves, beetroot, radishes, and some carrots.

Otherwise, dig loads of compost and manure/fertiliser on the space and let it rest until next Spring!

Leeks can go in this late too.

And can be harvested into early next year.

I was away to say that I've just planted some more carrots (they'll be small) and leeks for the winter. I was going to put some kale in, but was a bit worried about becoming a stereotype!!

Thanks! :) Salad and carrots sounds a good option for me.

Found some spuds chitting away at the back of the veg basket - going to stick those in where the caulis were and plant the potato bags up with salady stuff. Will sow some Kale in cells and just pop plants around where they fit.
Except it's peeing down - so maybe tomorrow!

My Greenhouse has arrived!

Currently sat in disintigrating cardboard boxes!

I shall attempt to put the frame up tomorrow.

Photos on completion.

Then I can think about growing some veg over the winter in it maybe.
