A Rae in a manger
Nothing to contribute to the count, yet, bit this afternoon I've started a batch of Delia's mincemeat recipe to which now has to steep for 12 hours before being slow baked. Then I'll be able to make mince pies for the rugby club Christmas in party next weekend.
Conveniently, nobody else there will know what mince pies are supposed to taste like, so the fact I've had to do some rough approximations for suet and mixed peel will mean nothing to them.

Mince pies not popular on the continent? What is wrong with people?
Was going to add another, but scoffed a pork and cranberry pie instead...
