The vet was pleased that I brought her in so soon, he thinks we can reverse the infection of the puncture wounds, fingers crossed!

that's really scary - I'm sure she will perk up once the antibiotics have kicked in. Our previous cat used to have the odd blue with other cats and the injuries can be quite bad (definitely not as bad and any altercation with a dog though...)

Her front paw is really swollen and seems to be getting worse... I am glad we are back at the vets tomorrow morning for another checkup...

poor baby - that's awful.
Hopefully she'll bounce back with the antibiotics and a bit of time.

Helga had a puncture wound from a fight with another cat last year - antibiotics from the vet sorted it out. Nothing like your troubles but cat/cat bites are quite common and treatable. Best of luck.

Dylan had a horrible infected bite several years ago - he was really really ill as I couldn't get antibiotics into him, then he ran away and it took 2 days to find him - by which time he was horribly septic, not drinking/eating or peeing etc and was admitted for a few days - he recovered well.

K9, that is why I invested in a slow release antibiotic jab this morning. Expensive, but less stressful than forcing tablets down her for 10 days and we know she doesn't spit this out under the sofa! She is a little better today, but still quite bad, poor wee thing.

I'm with you on the antibiotic jabs - worth their weight in gold.
Hope she continues to improve
