I have so far had a quietly productive morning... About to do some yoga before lunch and dentist.

Hiya everyone.
How was the walk TT?
I woke up this morning feeling really anxious. No particular reason it just was washing over me. I’ve had a good week generally so it was unexpected. Feeling a bit washed out and low now. Hey ho. It’s nearly the weekend.

I'm so pleased to see a mental health support thread! 😁 it's something we all need to talk about more as a society.
It's a subject that is dear to my heart, because of both my own personal difficulties and from my work and studies.
Running and other forms of exercise are very important in helping me to manage my mental health.
Generally my mental health is quite good at the moment but it fluctuates. December wasn't good for various reasons but I've come out of it.
I'm so glad to see fetchies reaching out to each other for support 🤗

hi Halfpint, I get that, wake up with anxiety and a feeling of dread, or wake up feeling really low, it's horrible the way it can just be upon you. I think it can sometimes be to do with my dreams, there are things I'm not aware of but affect me anyway. It can go the other way too, I can go through low periods then wake up feeling ok. My mood can change overnight

Best wishes for the 250 parkrun AndyS, something exciting to look forward and well done on the achievement.
I’ve got an odd feeling on the left side of the back of my throat, when I swallow it feels funny, like there’s a lump there. Think that’s how my mums cancer started so a bit concerned. Trying not to think to much about it but the nagging worry means I’ll book a doctors appointment for next week.

Fields everything crossed for the docs appointment. Funnily enough that feeling of a lump in thr throat has been a manifestation of anxiety for me.
Hanneke hope dentist went well.
Hi BT, welcome to the thread. I wish it wasn't necessary but checking in here has already helped me so much. I find my mood can change in minutes but have definitely been struggling at nights and the dreams are a big part of that.
HP how you feeling now?
I have possibly done too much today. 3 walks with nearly 5000 steps but felt so much stronger physically and mentally again. Now comes the night though so hoping for a healing deep sleep.
All the best for parkrun tomorrow Andy and for the weekend everyone. Keep talking.
Nos da x

Fields, yes, best to book the Dr. You do not want that anxiety! I have been to the dentist and he was so supportive! Went over my problems again, the sorted two small things, for free, then sat to replacing a filling, creating space to try and remove the decay from under a crown, saving the crown. It took ages and wasn't 100% successful but the decay has been largely removed and contained. Thing is, removing the crown would have meant loosing the tooth, as only a stump too small to fit another crown would remain. We hope this will settle and hold out until I have enough resources to risk removing the crown and potentially replace with an implant if it cannot be re-crowned. He already did his most on another such issue last time, which we think has sort of settled for now and the same sort of issue at the edge of the bridge has been left, as it is minimal decay and he felt it would only make it worse and if the bridge has to be removed, that means 3 implants 😱😱😱 He was very re- assuring so we hope we can ward off disaster for the next year or 2. I can then hopefully use a small pension pot to do the major work... I am now exhausted, but a little less anxious. The doom scenario would have been 5 teeth pulled and no money to fill the gaps... It would leave me with not enough molars to actually chew with... And I am only 57...
I did buy a book on natural dentistry and just found an article on reversing tooth decay as well, while sorting professional magazines to take to my building.

I’ve had a grumpy day with migraine lurking. Still feel anxious. I think there’s probably something playing at the back of my mind that I’m not fully aware of yet.

TT I’m glad you got out for a walk or 3. Hopefully it will help you sleep.
Fields it sounds like getting it checked will ease your anxiety.
