We’ve just been out foraging for fish and chips and almost literally stumbled over this “sign”, which marks the lower end of the Templer Way.
They no longer ship granite from the port, but instead ball clay, which is quarried in the area and which is apparently used in the production of high quality ceramic sanitaryware.
