I've signed up to support again this year - but not sure what time I'll manage to get there. Very excited to see that Kathrine Switzer is going to be running, in her original Boston no. 261! :-D

Herro dear Fetchpointers. The race instructions just dropped into my email inbox, so I guess this sh*t is real! May my wife come and stand with you lot? I shall be in a Fetch vest (old one) with HAPPY GRRR written on it and my demand is big cheer on way out and high fives on way back (but not as hard as you did in 2013, cos it nearly stopped my race ! ![]() My thank yous from 2013 and pics to recognise me, if required, are all in this blog... fetcheveryone.com/blog/13263/2013/4 (I look like the photos, not like the Chicken Avatar!) ![]() |

I've not done this before - is it teams and specific runners to look for or just everyone support everybody?

We've stuck with the teams idea for the last few years, but it felt like we were mainly just shouting for everyone... and there were very few specific requests for things. So I think this year, we'll just turn up and yell at all and sundry. I'll send some messages out soon with suggestions on what to bring, and info on how to find us.

I'm still on the periphery. I'm going to be out and about on the course, as there's a friend who I've promised to repeatedly swear at, but I've not decided when/where, and she'll be out for a while, so I might drop in and say 'hi' for an hour or so if I'm sober.

DG - just because you arrive at Fetchpoint sober there's no guarantee that you'll leave in the same condition!! :-)G - nearest DLR is Shadwell - under 10 minute walk, nearest tube is Tower Hill - around 15 minute walk. If she's going to arrive a bit later on, once the runners have started coming through then the walk from Shadwell is less congested. |
