In relation to the ballot entry/ rejection magazines that they used to send (but now done by email because of trees and plastic).
Those were not too dissimilar in terms of size of package, still fit through a letterbox just these ones are a bit squishier. But they would have been sending out at least twice as many magazines back in those days, and I'm sure they would all arrive within a week, don't recall ever waiting several weeks for the magazine to arrive.
Yet somehow people are saying that it's a big job for them to post out 40k tshirts in a week, when 100k + magazines were sent out in October every year without issues.
Thinking they should have stuck with Royal Mail as the delivery contract. they have been doing this kind of thing (delivering stuff to peoples houses) longer than anyone else.

Spideog, yeah, those are my thoughts too. Personally I'm not too bothered but I do feel sorry for the first time marathoners who still haven't received theirs, whereas their mate up the road may have got a delivery in the first batch.

Not bothered overly myself, although a bit annoyed I missed the normal turning up to hobble around a parkrun the week after wearing the tshirt. As long as it eventually turns up I'll be OK.
But it really was important I'd have thought for the people doing their first. They had a much wider range of standards taking part this year that they normally would and it really isn't too hard a task to put 40k tshirts in the post on the Monday, but loads of people who are never going to do something like this again have missed that joy of having a medal to show off whilst still in pain from the marathon effort.
Of all the things they had to organise to make the event happen, booking a lorry from Royal Mail to pick up 40k tshirts was by far the simplest.

I tend to agree with you, Spideog.
I've got to the stage of wondering whether I'm on "the list", as I didn't receive any emails at all during the run up to vVLM although my bib number arrived. Apparently there's been a 30% off NB email since the event, which I didn't receive. There are still another 10 days to prove my negativity wrong though
