I'm certain that Hilton is bent, and that Roz is fundamentally good, but beholden to him for some as yet unrevealed reason. She's covering for at least one person, maybe more. Hastings is guilty of outdated attitudes and using unsuitable language, but is equally patronising to male officers, calling them 'Sonny' as he would a female 'love' or 'darling'. I think his loyalty to and preference for Steve goes back to their counter-terrorism days, rather than any gender bias.

OH and I caught up with ep 3 before we watched Gogglebox on Friday, because that was a HUGE spoiler - be warned about Gogglebox in future!
We loved the previous series - if anyone, like Bint, hasn't seen them yet I really recommend them.
Maneet - I think she's not really a mole but is passing stuff on to Hilton under Hastings' instruction, as he'll then use that info to try and pervert the course of justice (or something) and Hilton will be done for corruption too.
I'll be honest, though I'm completely gripped I have no idea how on earth it's all going to play out. I'm just so relieved Steve's survived - he is such a fab terrier-with-a-bone character

I thought Nick implied to Roz that he was involved in a tussle with Arnott which lead to him 'falling' down the stairs. If he wasn't involved then why call Roz to help deal with it?

Maneet must have blown Kate's cover, though, or how would Roz have known about Kate's son? Though that could have been Hilton.
I thought what Nick said was ambiguous about whether he'd just found Steve and panicked, or had something to do with him falling. Why would he have run if he'd just found him?

Right so where are we? *spoiler alert*
I think Jamie will reappear to be useful and Steve will recover (*please*). There is a lot of story which will not be resolved until the next series. Bet Hilton was a uni pal of Huntley and Lakewell. Otherwise, no idea!

Shutting AC-12 down would be very convenient for anyone involved in the Dot stuff wouldn't it. I cannot predict how the Roz situation is going to go. I was right about her stitching up Nick though. Lakewell is involved somehow, yes?
