Think about this................When you start running, do you start running with your left foot first or your right foot? do you actually know, have you actually thought about it? I know it is something we all do naturally without thinking, but why not think about it?
Next time you go out and once you start your timing device to commence your run, what is the foot that lands first?
Are you a Lefty or a right winger?
Then on your subsequent run, consciously start off with your 'reverse' foot, did it make any difference to your performance?
I don't know whether this has ever been looked at, but obviously this lockdown is seriously affecting my mind :-), but does it make a difference? what do you think?

I think you're a little shit for making everyone about how they start off when they go for a run. We'll all be stood there wondering which one to raise first. I blame you if tomorrow's run goes pearshaped

If you've done track racing you'd know this.
Left foot on the line for me, then a false step.

Which foot counts as first? The one you first drive from or the one you first strike ground with?

Same as Geordie Girl^ I assume most right-handed people would start in this way if just starting from their front door. It just seems natural for my handedness.

McG - you can be left handed and right footed (I'm like that). And I suppose the opposite can be true too. I'm quite two footed in football though, so I'm not sure what my answer to Stevce would be...

As with all things, right foot first.
