Lapsed Athlete
This will be my last long run before Windermere and a PB attempt as my current one is rather soft. This is assuming my legs are still working after my leg of the Highland Fling next weekend.

@meglet, re chip - you have to get down on your hands and knees and drag your chest across the timing mat. *gets camera ready*

I've only had a chip on the back of my number once, Blackpool half several years ago I think it was.
I have a vague recollection that they didn't work particularly well...

I take it it's a tough course then. Legs feel pretty ok now after VLM, but would like to know what i'm letting myself in for.

Not that tough, but if you don't get a negative split then there is something seriously wrong with you.

Long steady uphill at 3-4 miles. Long way round the ringroad. Downhill to Kirkstall. Don't take my word, I've spectated twice but never run.
I notice they've cut out the awkward bit round the houses near Dpen Lane.
