Cheers SPR. I was surprised when Millar predicted Porte for the podium on the rest day, but a good day today and if he paces his time trial better tomorrow then maybe he will make it. Top spot is sewn up barring a freak event.

Not sure Porte made enough time today for the podium. Yates is the one he needs to bump off and 7 seconds isn't enough (which is all he got today). Tomorrow's mountain time trial while an opportunity, is short and the program predicts that it will open up gaps of 20 - 30 seconds rather than distance winning amounts. Yates has fairly good history in mountain time trials, he was 8th at the Dauphine , 25 seconds behind Porte. Double that as it's over 17km and not 4km (he won't lose 4 times that amount) and it's still 50 seconds. There is only one more summit finish now. The white jersey is sown up, I'd suggest Yates was looking today and will be looking from now on to hang on to a podium place.

I think that depends on how Mollema does tomorrow. He lost 40s to Porte today and is 2mins ahead of him overall. If Porte can put enough into him tomorrow, he'll smell blood for the closing stages.
Though I'm not sure of Mollema's TTing history, and there is still the matter of Bardet in between them, but Porte could still challenge for the podium.

Looks like Sky are trolling the peloton as I've just heard on the ITV that they're signing Diego Rosa the one dom that has made them work.

My favourite was watching Yates sitting happily in the group of leaders, then dropping Quintana et al and almost reaching Froome and Porte. Would so love to see him keep his podium place, he sure deserves it.
Also rooting for Porte to make up the time. Shows how one badly timed mechanical can change the whole outcome.
