The crash: twitter.com Heavy impact for Porte, hope he doesn't suffer tomorrow due to it as they'll be no hiding due to the TT. Porte would have been properly back in GC without that incident and Mollema, Froome might have been out of sight. |

I'm not a massive cycling fan but watch it now and again. Think it's incredulous how much the crowd encroached and how narrow a space the riders were given. Motorcycle was far too close too. Hope this gets sorted out so doesn't happen again. |

I wondered about the booing. Given that the fans would have seen the gap at the finish but probably not the crash would they have been confused as to why the jersey stayed with Froome? Or would they have had the coverage at the finish area to see what had happened?

There was also a fake comfort break by Froome to get the peloton to wait for his teammates after Stannard's crash. Doubt they knew about that at the finish though.

Pretty much all news I've seen has been about the climb incident so haven't heard anything about Stannard.
