Is that a rumour or you just asking? I thought they deliberately didn't go to Sky, OGE allow them to lead at the Tour and develop at their own pace.

I was just asking. I know there was noise about it a few years back, and after this tour he will be hot property. Sky do like to suck up all the young talent, especially if it's British. He's got loads of freedom right now though.

Crikey while the battle is definitely on for 2nd in the fantasy league, BigLeggy has done a Froomie and run up the road away from the rest of us. Bloody Quintana being rubbish this year and Dan Martin not being quite Adam Yates enough as Adam Yates means I'm done for.

If Yates x 2 have any sense they will stay away from Sky for a year or two yet imo. They could do a good job but I think they would be better advised to mature in all ways to give them the ability to argue for their aspirations to match the team rather than being bent to the will of Sir DB. I say that as a complete admirer of the boss of Sky Procycling.
Great win for Dumoulin today, sad to see that Porte had his usual day when his cycling functions malfunctioned.

I'm slowly climbing the league - one place at a time!
Froome and Yates were the key picks. If only I'd gone for Cav or Sagan, rather than trying to be clever and pick Griepel...

Porte's crash might have contributed to his performance today.

Porte went too fast early on, time close to Dumoulin's, and one of the very fastest at the first time check. Commentators questioned his judgement at the time and whether he'd pay for it. He did. He came back a little on the final climb. Said those who took it easyish at first were the ones who prospered, except for Dumoulin who totally owned it throughout.

Porte is a good TTer though and while he may have faded a bit anyway, I doubt he'd have faded as much if it wasn't for the accident the day before.
